This is a celebration of the moments that shape the soul of our lives — the ones that feel sentimental, fleeting, and quietly unforgettable. Long after the vows are spoken and the music fades, these photographs are the reminders of what we carry forward: a living record of love, connection, and the life you’re building together.
I believe photography should capture how it all felt — the honesty, the tenderness, the depth of human connection. I’m there for the grand, once-in-a-lifetime moments, but just as much for the beauty that lives in the quiet spaces in-between.
From the beginning, it’s all about love and connection. Let's tell your story in a way that's meaningful to you. In a place that feels joyful and intentional.
My shooting style is a mixture of posed and unposed imagery. I will always direct you when necessary, but will often rely on prompts and interactions between my couples over stiff posing. I want to embrace your love story naturally instead of recreating a Pinterest board. Trust the process, you’re in good hands.
I want to document your love the way it is- no frills or what we think it should look like- but in its truest form. The pure and tangible connection of two souls existing and meeting in this lifetime.
I want you to go into your session with no ideas of what "it should be" but instead with the goal of capturing your genuine love story. Leave it to me to guide you and just be present in the moment, with your love.
Photography has been a language of love and connection for me since the very beginning. My first memory began as the flash of a camera took the photo that would soon be sent to my adoptive parents in the United States. This photograph transcended language and culture connecting me to the people who would soon become my family.
I want you to know that this art, these memories, mean so much more to me than snapping photos. These photographs are portals back into the memories and moments that tell your story. The moments where the laughter is breathless, and your love feels like the deepest depth of the ocean. Sentimental and nostalgic.
"the second I saw Rachel’s I was so excited and absolutely fell in love with her photos. She was very quick to respond! She did a quick call with me and my fiancé about what we were looking for and how the process worked. At the shoot Rachel was very kind and patient, she played music and made us as comfortable as possible! She gave us poses and prompts but also let us just hang out and captured who we are which was exactly what I wanted! She got our photos back to us pretty quick and they were gorgeous and more then I could have asked for! Her Gallery site was super easy to use and navigate, the whole thing was incredible and I would 100% recommend her to all shoots in OBX!"
"Jake and I are both introverts so we were a little nervous for the photo shoot. Rachel made us feel so comfortable and played songs by one of our musicians (Jack Johnson) on her mini speaker. We felt so natural to just be ourselves. The pictures came out beautifully. Rachel was able to capture every single moment of that morning perfectly. When we look at our pictures we are just amazed at how she was able to take photos that represent who we are as a couple and the love we share for one another. We will have our favorite photos from that day on display at our wedding in 2024. We cannot say enough great things about Rachel!!:
""I’m so glad I found Rachel to take photos of our engagement! She captured the emotion of the moment and the day perfectly. We were blown away with how well all the photos turned out, and how professional she was. We also did an engagement session with her at the National Gallery of Art. We were so impressed with her creativity and artistic vision, and it was so much fun! She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and the photos turned out so great. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a super talented photographer!"
