"Jake and I are both introverts so we were a little nervous for the photo shoot. Rachel made us feel so comfortable and played songs by one of our musicians (Jack Johnson) on her mini speaker. If you have already booked your date with me, and for some reason you have to cancel, the retainer fee is non-refundable. If there is inclement weather then the retainer fee will go towards the rescheduled session. If there is another reason to reschedule, you can reschedule with me, but a new retainer will need to be paid, because I have already denied other clients for that same date.
what if we need to reschedule?
For weddings I require a 15% retainer to secure your spot on my calendar and the remaining 85% is due 30 days before your wedding date. For all other shoots, a 50% retainer is required prior to the shoot and a remaining payment is due by the day of the shoot.
how do payments work?
My shooting style is a mixture of posed and unposed imagery. I will always direct you when necessary, but will often rely on prompts and interactions between my couples over stiff posing. I am always watching for those quiet and in-between moments where you and your partner lose yourself in the moment and forget there's a photo being taken. I strive to capture each couple's love in an authentic and timeless way.

do you travel?
I always try to shoot during golden hour, which is 60-90 minutes before the sun sets or during the first hour of the sunrise. During this time, the lower position of the sun flatters skin tones and creates a beautiful soft light that looks stunning in images. Another lighting situation to consider is blue hour which is when the sun is below the horizon, and the surroundings take on a slightly blue tint. This lighting is low-lit and intimate- a perfect way to wind down a session.
